At R.City (in this privacy policy “R.City,†“we†or “usâ€) we take your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy has been implemented to provide you important information about who we are and our information practices, meaning how and why we collect, use, disclose, share, store, sell and retain your personal information. This privacy policy also explains your rights related to your personal information and how to contact us or regulatory authorities if you have a request or complaint.

Your personal information is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate you, or to identify you in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your personal information.

Many US states have adopted laws to protect the privacy rights of their citizens.  We are responsible for your personal information as a “business†under California privacy laws.  We will become subject to similar laws in other states as they take effect.

 

We may modify this policy at any time. All changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website (the “Siteâ€).  Material changes will be conspicuously posted on the Site or otherwise communicated to you.

 

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, Site or app?

When ordering or registering on our Site, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, phone number or address. If you purchase any of our services, we will also retain and store information regarding your activation date, device and mobile app usage and technical data, survey data, subscription status and usage of our services. We collect, process and use this data to manage your participation in, provide support for, and improve our services. We use PayPal, Stripe, and QuickBooks to process payments.  We do not collect demographic data like age, race, national origin, citizenship, gender, veteran or military status.

When do we collect information?

 

We collect information from you when you subscribe to a newsletter, fill out a form or enter information on our Site.  We also collect information automatically based on your use of our Site or our app. Information we automatically collect includes your IP address, unique device identifiers, device model and operating system version, mobile network and web browser type.  We also collect information about your activities including pages viewed, links clicked, access times, pages you visited before accessing our Site and screens visited.

 

Do we use ‘cookies’?

How do we protect your information?

 

We use regular Malware Scanning to protect your information. We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.

 

Third-party links

 

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our Site. These third-party websites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our Site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Google

We use Google AdSense Advertising on our Site

 

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our Site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our Site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt-out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy.

We have implemented the following:

  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting
  • Demographics and Interests Reporting

 

We, along with third-party vendors such as Google use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our Site.

Opting out

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative Opt Out page or by using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser add on.

 

How does our Site handle Do Not Track signals?

We honor Do Not Track signals and Do Not Track.  We do not plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (ONT) browser mechanism is in place.

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old, and do not knowingly collect, use, or share personal information from children under 18.  If a parent or legal guardian leans that their child provided us personal information without their consent, please contact us and we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete that information.

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to help secure personal information against loss, misuse, and alteration appropriate to the type of personal information processed.

Your Rights to Access and Deletion

 

Subject to certain limitations such as (a) exceptions permitted by applicable law and (b) verification of your identity, consumers may exercise the following rights with regard to personal information.

Right to Deletion. You have a right to request that we delete personal information we collected from you. We will comply with such request and direct any service providers to delete the personal information unless we are permitted to keep such personal information under applicable law. When we delete any information, we may either erase it, deidentify it, or otherwise render it anonymous, subject to certain exceptions permitted by applicable law.

 

How to Exercise Your Rights to Access and Deletion

You may only make a request to exercise your rights on behalf of yourself. A parent or legal guardian may make a request on behalf of their child. In order to verify a consumer request, you must provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information and you must describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. For requests to delete information, you will be required to confirm your request to delete by clicking an additional verification of your request provided to you via an email sent to the email address associated with the account in question.

If you receive marketing emails from us, you may unsubscribe from receiving future emails at any time by emailing us at [email protected] or follow the instructions at the bottom of each email to request to unsubscribe.  We will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence upon receipt of your request.

 

Access from Outside the United States

 

If you access the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that Personal Information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. Certain governmental authorities may not consider the level of protection of Personal Information in the United States to be equivalent to that required by other jurisdictions.

Please note this promise to conspicuously post material changes to privacy policy to the website.  We have drafted this policy to accommodate other state regulations that will become effective once rules are finalized (Virginia, Connecticut, Colorado, Utah), but if we need to make any changes to this policy, we need to post the changes to the website and highlight any material changes or otherwise communicate them to users.
